Bill Dubois was elected to the board in 2008. He is active in many civic organizations, serving on the board of directors for the Cheyenne Historic Preservation, the foundation of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, the Historic Governor's Mansion, the Cheyenne Concert Association, and the American Heritage Center at the University of Wyoming. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Capital Chorale. He is the past president of the Wyoming State and Laramie County Historical Societies, was honored with a life membership with the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players, was on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Committee and was founding chairman/director of the board that created the Old West Museum. He is now serving on the board of directors for the Cheyenne Depot Museum. He served on the commissions for the Centennial of Wyoming and the State Parks and Cultural Resources. |
John Kaiser was elected to the board of trustees in 1996, and has served as liaison to the Foundation 1996-97 and a member in 2006; vice chairman from 1998-2000; chairman from 2000-2003 and again in 2005; vice chairman in 2003; and, treasurer in 2004. In addition to his service on the LCCC Board, Kaiser served as a regional board member on the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and was Western Regional Chair 2000-2005. His involvement in the community includes past chairmanship of the Wyoming Agricultural Leadership Council, the National Young Farmers Institute Committee where he again served as chairman and membership in the Wyoming L.E.A.D. Class III from 1988-1990. Kaiser is a graduate of LCCC and the University of Wyoming. He is a driver/salesman for ABF Freight System and his hobbies include photography, cycling and traveling. He is married to Debora Kaiser and they have one son, Paul, a student at LCCC. |
Kevin Kilty was elected for a four-year seat on the board in 2010. He was born and raised in Cheyenne, attended the University of Wyoming for two years, then transferred to Montana State University, where he earned a B.S. in physics. He then obtained M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in geophysics from University of Utah. Among other employment, he spent 12 years running geophysical consulting and contracting firms in California, Colorado, and Wyoming; four years as the managing partner of Bar X Ranches in Goshen County, Wyoming; and six years in automation and controls for Shin-Etsu Chemicals in Orchards, Wash. In 2002 he joined the manufacturing engineering faculty of Washington State University, then transitioned to LCCC in 2004. He now teaches mechanical engineering at UW. His interests include electronics, hiking, tennis and reading. He is an author, a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and a reviewer of proposals for National Science Foundation. He and his wife, Trina, have one daughter. |
Elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010, Brenda Lyttle is an attorney and works for the Wyoming Department of Family Services as the child support enforcement director. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and theater arts from Drake University in Iowa, and her juris doctorate from the University of Wyoming. She has attended classes at LCCC, acted in and directed theater productions on campus, and plays clarinet in the LCCC Wind Symphony. Brenda is very active with Cheyenne Little Theater Players and loves long-distance running and motorcycle riding with her husband, John. She has two daughters, Jennifer Hammitt and Rebecca Fournier, and two step-children, Aaron and Sara Lyttle. |
Carol Merrell was chosen for the board in October 2009 and elected in 2010. She is a registered radiological technologist, an LCCC graduate and has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming. Currently she manages her family’s rental real estate business. She is an enthusiastic volunteer for several organizations. She has volunteered for Safe House, the Downtown Development Authority, the Parent Advisory Committee at Central High School, her church and Youth Alternatives. She has been an active volunteer at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for the past 10 years and is a past president. She also serves on the CRMC Foundation Board. One of her projects, as a volunteer, was Merrell’s Morsels, in which the volunteers sold cookies in the lobby to raise money for scholarships offered to LCCC students in the health-related professions. The volunteers' goal of $100,000 was met in May 2009. She is also an associate member of Civic League, a member of PEO and several other groups. Carol is married to Art, a psychiatrist, and has four children and six grandchildren. She enjoys tennis, reading, bridge, gardening and traveling. |
Ed Mosher was elected for a two-year seat on the board in 2010. He served for four years in the military (1965-1969) and returned to Wyoming to complete his bachelor’s degree at the University of Wyoming. He has lived in Wyoming for more than 40 years, working in education nearly all that time. Mosher was a faculty member at Laramie County Community College from 1977-2009 and taught at Cheyenne Central High School and Torrington High School for a total of five years prior to his time at LCCC. He earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the University of Wyoming. He was a higher education representative to the Wyoming Education Association (WEA) Board, president of the Wyoming DECA Educators Association and president of the LCCC Faculty Senate. Ed and his wife, Edie, also a graduate of LCCC and the University of Wyoming, have five children, all of whom attended or graduated from LCCC, and six grandchildren. All five children have earned a bachelor’s or higher degree. |
Greg Thomas was first elected to the board in November 2004. Greg earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in business administration from Northern Illinois University. He spent his early career as an auditor with a national CPA firm and has been a consulting partner with several regional CPA firms. Greg leads the commercial real estate group at ERA Advantage Real Estate in Cheyenne and is very involved in the leadership of various civic organizations including the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club, Laramie County Republican Party and Cheyenne District–Boys Scouts of America. He is married to Vanessa, and they have a son, Evan, and a daughter, Sophia. |
