Writing & Communications Center
The Writing & Communications Center (WCC) helps students become more independent, confident writers, speakers, and thinkers through a range of writing and public speaking support services and college success skills assistance. By listening, asking questions, and providing resources, our writing consultants empower students to evaluate and make decisions about their own work, encouraging them to develop positive attitudes about their communication skills.
Our services are rooted in the belief that purpose- and process-driven, focused, well-organized, well-supported work that meets assignment requirements is most important in effective communication. Thus, we endeavor to create better writers and speakers, not better writing and speeches.
Appointments are highly encouraged, and walk-in sessions may be available. To schedule a tutoring appointment online, go to tutor.lccc.wy.edu.
The Student Success Center (SCC) is available to help students with course content, homework, questions, study strategies, and test preparation in nearly all subjects. Free Online Tutoring
Online tutoring is available with LCCC writing consultants during open hours. For online tutoring instructions, visit LCCC Tutoring Policies.
If it's 3 a.m. and students need help, they can try NetTutor, a free online service that offers tutoring in many subjects, including math, accounting, chemistry, humanities, writing, and more, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Students access NetTutor from their D2L account homepage under ”Student Resources.”
