The Laramie County Community College women's volleyball program finished the 2015 campaign with one of the best seasons in program history. The Golden Eagles wrapped up the season with an overall record of 26-15 and a third place finish in the Region IX North Conference Tournament. The Golden Eagles have an all-time record of 187-182.
Under second year head coach Austin Albers, the LCCC women recorded the program's first ever back-to-back 20 win seasons and posted another Region IX Tournament Final Four finish for the seventh consecutive season. With a balance roster of seven sophomores and eight freshman, the Golden Eagles squad played one of the toughest schedules in the country, squaring off against 16 national ranked or vote receiving opponents throughout the season. The LCCC team put together a 13 match unbeaten streak, losing just four sets from Sept. 4 to Oct. 2.
In addition to the team's success, five Golden Eagles swept-in individual honors. True freshman Kiley Ridgway and sophomore MiKayla Martinez were named to the All-Region IX North Team, Region IX North All-Tournament Team and earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors. Freshman outside hitter Preston Lienemann was named a 2015 All-Conference Honorable Mention, while sophomore Breanne Hankins and freshman Suzie Rhodes earned Region IX North All-Tournament Team recognition.
With a focus on recruiting the best regional talent and national talent, Coach Austin Albers and Assistant Coach Britney Brown have solidified a capable roster moving into the 2016 season as the team looks to continue to build on their success.
