Student Government Association

During Spring 2021 during the Phase IIB return to business plan, Student Government will be meeting virtually online through Zoom.

SAFAC proceedings will also be conducted virtually online through Zoom. Links to the meetings will be made available through the Student Engagement & Diversity virtual office. Minutes will also be posted on the virtual office for the remainder of the semester.

Student Government meets every Friday during the semester when classes are in session from 3 - 5 p.m. virtually via Zoom. 

To access information on Zoom meetings and meeting minutes, go to the “Virtual Offices” folder in myLCCC. Click on the “Student Engagement & Diversity Office” and then click the “Student Government Association” tab and check the announcements section.

Mission

The mission of the Student Government Association is to connect, represent, guide and advocate for the students of LCCC, by informing, empowering, bestowing knowledge and improving student recognition of campus. SGA senators will provide positive leadership by example and mentor future students to build foundations and leave a lasting legacy for future student leaders.

Meetings

Student Government Association meets every Friday during the semester when classes are in session from 3-5 p.m. virtually through Zoom.  All meetings are open to the public. Links to meetings are posted in the Virtual Office for Student Engagement and Diversity in myLCCC. Check the announcements section under the Student Government Association tab. 

Questions? Concerns? Comments?

Students can attend one of SGA's meetings from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays virtually on Zoom. Every meeting there is a time for public comment and anyone is welcome to come and speak their concerns during this time. Student Government Accepting Applications for Spring Elections

Student Government is accepting applications for the Spring Elections to take place online May 3 -7. The elections will be for the Fall 2021-Spring 2022 term. Students should apply by Apr. 30, 2021 in order to be placed on the ballot.
