LCCC volleyball academy to hold tryouts

Friday, December 11, 2009
Young athletes can learn about life through volleyball.
Laramie County Community College’s Cheyenne Volleyball Academy (CVA) will be holding tryouts Dec. 13, in LCCC’s MultiPurpose Room in the Physical Education Building. Young athletes in grades five through eight will try out from 5-7 p.m., and tryouts for grades nine through 12 will follow from 7-9 p.m.

The mission of the CVA is to build character and self esteem, as well as teach valuable skill sets and good sportsmanship in a fun way through the game of volleyball. Academy Leader and LCCC women’s volleyball head coach Travis Ward says that this vision will create winning players with universal core values who will positively contribute to multiple communities in the Cheyenne area.
