Equestrian team places 11 athletes in Hunt Seat Show

Jordan Matthews, Natalie Fry bring home first-place finishes.

The Laramie County Community College equestrian hunt seat team placed 11 athletes at the Colorado University horse show in Fort Lupton, Colo., Oct. 23-24. The team took sixth place on Saturday and seventh on Sunday.

Individual results:
· Emily Hamilton placed seventh in Novice Fences and third in Novice Equitation
· Ashlee Preletz placed fifth and sixth in Novice Fences and sixth and seventh in Novice Equitation
· Krista Quint placed seventh in Novice Fences and fourth in Novice Equitation
· Emily Graham placed fifth and sixth in Intermediate Equitation
· Leah Santillanes placed seventh in Novice Equitation
· Karmon Rosencrance placed sixth both shows in Advanced Walk, Trot, and Canter Equitation
· Elizabeth Harris placed fifth and sixth in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter Equitation
· Jordan Matthews placed first in Advanced Walk, Trot, and Canter Equitation
· Natalie Fry placed first and fifth in Beginning Walk, Trot, Canter Equitation
· Annie Hoag placed fourth in Walk, Trot Equitation and fourth in Beginning Walk, Trot, and Canter Equitation
· Katie Briggs placed sixth and seventh in Walk, Trot Equitation
The equestrian team will host an Intercollegiate Horse Show Association western show on Nov. 6-7 in the LCCC Arena. The event is free. Please plan to attend and support the Golden Eagles. Schedules can be found at www.lccc.wy.edu/athletics.
