Air Force Prep soars past the Eagles

Thursday, February 16, 2012
The Golden Eagles are 12-12 overall and 7-2 in the south subregion.

The Laramie County Community College men’s basketball team lost to Air Force Prep in a non-conference game 69-87 on Feb. 14 in Cheyenne.

The Golden Eagles let the Huskies get a big early lead, but toward the end of the half the Eagles managed to cut that lead to eight and trailed 26-34 at halftime. In the second half the Huskies came out firing and scored nearly everything they put up. The Eagles again fought back and at one point had cut the lead to three. Near the end of the game, the Huskies tried to run the clock down on each possession so LCCC resorted to fouling to stop the clock. The Huskies made 16 of 18 free throws for the game.
