What will I learn?

Are you’re ready to make your business ideas a reality and want to learn the skills to run a business? The LCCC Entrepreneurship Program is for you.

If you dream of owning your own business, you need to do everything you can to ensure your idea has a chance at success. This starts with looking at feasibility of your idea and researching the industry, target markets and financial viability.

The LCCC Entrepreneurship program starts with testing the feasibility of a business idea. From there, the  Entrepreneurship credit diploma looks at sales and branding techniques, creating a business plan and exploring digital options for social media, websites and other e-business tools. Students will gain a good understanding of financial planning, business communications, marketing a small business and basic management. 

Students leave the Entrepreneurship program with a business plan in hand that shows feasibility of their idea, a digital strategy and solid branding for their business idea. 

All business students are part of a cohort, a group who start their education together and have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities together. Students with entrepreneurial ideas can participate in state and local events like:

Credit Diploma

Students in this program intend to start and run their own business. The Entrepreneurship program focuses on small business creation and management for the student or existing business owner.

The program can be an add-on to other career or occupational degrees or as a stand-alone certificate. It is easy to complete this certificate while working on an associate degree at LCCC.
