Exam Lab

Due to the Covid-19 virus and campus safety procedures, the Exam Lab will offer limited in-person testing services through Fall 2020 semester by appointment only. Please check back here for changes and updates.

The Laramie County Community College (LCCC) Exam Lab provides comprehensive, high quality, accessible testing for LCCC students, professional certification and licensure testers, and distance learners across the region and nation. The programs and services provided by LCCC are based on the National College Testing Association’s Professional Standards and Guidelines and are in accordance with LCCC’s mission and policies.

Tuesday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Wednesday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Thursday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Fall 2020 Testing

The Exam Lab is open for scheduled face-to face and one-on-one, scheduled Zoom proctoring on a limited basis for LCCC academic exams and distant learning exams for Fall 2020.

Placement Testing

Students needing assistance with placement for upcoming semester will work with the departments and their advisors to select the right course for them. Please contact admissions for the newly developed placement procedures information.

CLEP Testing

Exam Lab is going to be open for CLEP testing on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tests are going to be available by appointment only. To make an appointment, email to examlabFREELARAMIE.

Testing time available: 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

CLEP exams must be purchased online at clep.collegeboard.org for $85-$95. There is also a $25 administrative fee for each exam, payable at the time of testing. Please see clep.collegeboard.org for more information about the CLEP exam.

DSST Testing

Exam Lab is going to be open for DSST testing on Tuesdays and Fridays. Tests are going to be available by appointment only. To make an appointment, email to examlabFREELARAMIE.

Testing time available: 9 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m.

DSST exams are to be purchased online for $85-$95 on the day of testing. There is also a $25 administrative fee for each exam, payable at the time of testing. Please see http://www.getcollegecredit.com for more information about the DSST exam.

TEAS/PN Predictor (Nursing Exams)

We are going to be scheduling TEAS and PN Predictor exams for Fall 2021 Admission starting November 2020. Nursing students, please email examlabFREELARAMIE to schedule your exam for one or more of the following dates (only one exam each month period):

  • January (dates to be announced)
  • February (dates to be announced)

* TEAS/PN Predictor testing in January and February is subject to change, based on campus safety procedures for Spring 2021. Scheduled testers will be contacted directly in the event of extended closure. Please also check back here for any updates and changes.

Safety protocols will be emailed to testers and posted online.

Please note: TEAS/PN Predictor exam costs increased for 2021 to $65 per exam. 

Pearson Vue Testing

The Exam Lab has limited Pearson Vue testing through Fall 2020 semester. We are offering Pearson VUE testing on Thursdays and Saturdays. We apologize for the inconvenience! Please check back here for updates and changes in Pearson Vue availability for Fall 2020.

Policies 

The Exam Lab administers make-up exams, exams for students with testing accommodations, exams from other institutions ($25 proctor charge), distance learning exams, and professional licensure and certification exams. 

Please remember these general policies:

  • The Exam Lab abides by LCCC’s Academic Honesty policies and procedures.
  • Students must bring a photo I.D. to use the LCCC Exam Lab.
  • Students must have their Course Name, Course Number, Section Number, Instructor Name, and Exam Name to test in the Exam Lab.
  • Only those taking an exam are allowed in the Exam Lab.
  • Testing concludes at the closing hour. All tests will be collected at that time.

Disability Support Services Accommodations

The Exam Lab is pleased to offer testing accommodations in accordance with Disability Support Services. 

distraction-reduced testing environment is an environment or testing center that limits interruptions and other environmental influences. The entire testing area of the Exam Lab is a distraction-reduced environment.

Private room test accommodation is a further change to the environment for testing. This accommodation is required for reader and scribing services. This accommodation must be scheduled with DSS to be accessed.

Exam Lab Request Form

The Exam Lab is offering limited face-to-face proctoring for LCCC exams this Fall 2020 semester for make-up exams and exams for students with testing accommodations. Please, make sure to include the names of students taking exams into the Exam Lab Request Form.

Please find virtual proctoring procedures for Fall 2020 below. 

Online tests proctoring procedure for Instructors:

  1. Instructor will complete the Exam Lab Test Request Form (available on website or Canvas) prior to student scheduling. Form should include an exact roster of students taking the test with email addresses.
  2. Lead Proctor and Instructor will negotiate the specifics of the exam and testing window in regards to proctor availability, feasibility of request, and Exam Lab policies. The Exam Lab might have up to 4 proctors available at the same time. Lead Proctor needs to check availability of all of them before they schedule exams proctoring.

Paper tests proctoring procedure for Instructors:

  1. Instructor will complete the Exam Lab Test Request Form (available on website or Canvas) prior to student scheduling. Form should include an exact roster of students taking the test with email addresses.
  2. Lead Proctor and Instructor will negotiate the specifics of the exam and testing window in regards to proctor availability, feasibility of request, and Exam Lab policies. The Exam Lab might have up to 4 proctors available at the same time. Lead Proctor needs to check availability of all of them before they schedule exams proctoring.
  3. Instructor will notify the students about date and time of the test as well as the process of testing:
  • Students will receive an email from the Exam Lab with the date and time of the exam, and a link to Zoom meeting they would need to join to start the test. Students will need to check their spam folder in case they haven’t received it and email examlabFREELARAMIE to request it if the email is not found anywhere.
  • Students would need to install a scan app on their phone prior to the exam session (unless the Instructor allows multiple files submission in Canvas in jpeg)
  • Students would need to install Canvas app on their phone prior to the exam session to be able to submit their paper test after they have completed it.
  • Students cannot leave the proctored test Zoom meeting before they submit all the files of completed test to Canvas.

LCCC instructors must complete the Exam Lab Request Form to request proctoring services for all exams. Students may schedule their own distance learning exams and certification/professional licensure exams in person or by contacting the Exam Lab directly.
