Dr. Melissa Adkins grew up in a small farm town in Kansas.
She did her undergraduate at Emporia State University. She received a bachelors in mathematics with a concentration in computer science (2010) and played on the fastpitch softball team (Go Hornets!).
She moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, for graduate school and graduated a Colorado State University Ram in 2015 with a doctorate in mathematics.
After working for a couple years at Northrop Grumman as a R&D engineer, she is back in the teaching world at LCCC! Melissa lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with her husband, Jon, daughter, Agnes, and her border collie, Earnest. She loves being outside whether running, hiking or playing with her daughter!
