Dr. Qing Du has been a full-time chemistry instructor at Laramie County Community College since 2007. She teaches Introductory Chemistry (face-to-face, hybrid, and online format), and General Chemistry I and II (face-to-face and hybrid) courses. Before coming to LCCC, she taught chemistry and mathematics at Gillette College for four years.
Qing received her B.S. in chemistry from Ocean University of China, an M.S. and a Ph.D. in environmental chemistry from Academia Sinica (Beijing), and a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Luleå University of Technology (Sweden). She has coauthored several articles on particulate adsorption of heavy metals in aquatic systems.
Qing is married and has two children. She has enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the US, Europe and Asia with various family members over the past two decades. In her spare time, she likes to hike, read and help her children with school and recreational activities.
