Africa MAAFA Remembrance Day Conference - Oct. 9
You're invited to the 10th Annual International Africa MAAFA Remembrance Day Conference: Debunking Racial Myths and Divisive Assertions That Nullify Community Relations and Hinder Social Development, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, in LCCC's Center for Conferences & Institutes.
The conference is presented by SANKOFA (Back to the Source) African Heritage Awareness and includes presentations from:
- Dr. Fredrick Douglass Dixon, University of Wyoming Black Studies
- Nate Breen, Former LCSD1 and Wyoming State Board Trustee
- James W. Peebles, Ph.D. Founder, Sankofa African Heritage Awareness, Inc.
- Rochaun Meadows- Fernandez, Founder of the #freeblackmotherhood
Admission is free including refreshments. Donations are appreciated.
