What's in a Name: Wyoming Black History as a Way Forward - Mar. 2
“What’s in a Name” asks the Wyoming community to discuss what names in the archive teach us about race in Wyoming today. Community members will eat, learn Black history, and help plan for a better future through presentations from local residents. A Wyoming State Archivist will discuss efforts to name collections in ways that better represent nonwhite community members. She will also inform the community how to work together to ensure Black culture is better reflected in our state collections.
Join us at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 2 in the Center for Conferences & Institutes, Room 130 & 131. (Rescheduled from Feb. 23)
