English as a Second Language offered online in 2014

Laramie County Community College recently announced that English as a Second Language (ESL) reading and writing classes will be offered online for the first time in spring 2014.

This project is an opportunity for LCCC to meet the needs of the local community as well as others who want to improve their English on their own time. Classes are designed to prepare non-native English speakers to take college classes in English.
The reading class will help students develop reading skills necessary to be successful in college classes by reading and working with fiction and non-fiction texts. The writing class will help students improve their grammar and writing skills in order to meet the demands of college-level writing.

Registration is underway for the upcoming semester of classes. These courses will be offered via Desire 2 Learn, the college learning management system and will include all of the components of traditional ESL classes on campus.
