LCCC to hold auditions for theater program
"Into the Woods Junior" is open to students in grades 7-12.
Thanks to a grant obtained by Laramie County Community College, youth across the area
have an opportunity to join a new theater program this spring.
The grant gives LCCC the chance to perform “Into the Woods Junior,” an abbreviated version of the popular Stephen Sondheim musical. Open to students in grades 7-12, an information meeting and auditions will take place on April 1 and 2, 4:30 p.m. at the LCCC Playhouse.
To participate in the meeting and auditions, interested students must register first by calling 307.778.1236.
Students are welcome to audition for roles in this popular musical or work on vital behind-the-scenes responsibilities including costumes, set, sound, choreography, lighting, and promotion.
Classes begin May 6 and run Monday through Thursday, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Performances of the show will take place on June 7-9.
This event is made possible by the Career Pathways & Career Exploration Through Youth Theatre Project.
