LCCC and Wyoming PBS host screening of new documentary
“End of Track" is the story of the Transcontinental Railroad's construction march across southern Wyoming and the growing pains of a state in its infancy.
With the arrival of the Transcontinental Railroad, the destiny of Wyoming was changed
forever. Now, a new documentary explores what that momentous event meant to the state
and its future.
In partnership with Laramie County Community College, Wyoming PBS will host a screening and discussion of the documentary “End of Track.” Free and open to the public, the event takes place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, at LCCC’s CCI Building, Union Pacific Centennial Room 130.

Following a short clip from the documentary, a group of panelists will engage attendees in an open dialogue about the issues raised from the video. Panelists will include producer Tom Manning, University of Wyoming history professor Phil Roberts, and Cheyenne local Jim Ehrenberger. LCCC history instructor Patty Kessler will moderate the discussion.

It's a story of incredible engineering achievements and boisterous "Hell on Wheels" towns. A story of greed and corruption, murder and mayhem; but it's also a story of hope and ambition, determination and unimagined success.
