What will I learn?
Well-trained workers in the energy efficient Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) field are in high-demand. LCCC's HVAC/R program teaches about HVAC/R installation, repair and maintenance as well as thermal dynamics, fluid dynamics and electrical topics. As the equipment becomes more and more energy efficient and complex, the importance of understanding the fundamentals is crucial.
The HVAC/R credit diploma program is designed for the student who wishes to gain the basic skills required to enter the HVAC/R workforce. Students are introduced to basic concepts such as electric motors circuits, heating and air-conditioning, refrigeration system components, mechanical piping skills and residential heating systems.
In the first semester of this program, students will earn the Industrial Systems Technology credit diploma.
Students in this program must start in the fall semester.
