We strive to build a stronger workforce and community for our region through outreach, continuing education, professional and workforce training, academic refreshers, personal interest classes and facility rentals.

The programs, courses and services we offer include:



AMLS is an education program of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).  The program is endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP).This program is for all levels of healthcare practitioners committed to providing quality care for patients in medical crisis.  AMLS emphasizes the use of scene size-up, history, interactive group discussion on potential treatment strategies and physical exam to systematically rule out and consider possibilities and probabilities in treating patients’ medical crises. The course is designed to combine interactive scenario-based lectures with hands-on physical assessments of patients.

Twink Dalton is the certified instructor for this class.  She is the EMS education coordinator for the Mountain View Fire Protection District in Colorado.  She’s also served as faculty and director for Creighton University’s EMS program, trauma coordinator for St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, EMS coordinator for the Omaha Fire Department and clinical educator for Pridemark Paramedic Services in Boulder, Colorado.

Location:  Laramie County Community College, Training Center, Room 115

Cost:  $99  (Includes certification.  Students will be responsible for purchasing their own books.)
