LCCC spring commencement scheduled for May 17
CHEYENNE, Wyoming – Laramie County Community College will host its spring commencement
ceremonies on May 17 at the Blue FCU Recreation & Athletics Complex on the LCCC Cheyenne
campus. The ceremony will celebrate students who have completed their programs during
the 2024-2025 academic year, awarding 976 degrees and certificates.
This year’s graduating class will be the largest graduating class in LCCC history and will feature three commencement ceremonies: the School of Arts & Sciences at 9 a.m.; the School of Business, Agriculture & Technical Studies at 11 a.m.; and the School of Health Sciences & Wellness at 1 p.m.
Commencement day uniquely highlights the ongoing efforts of students, faculty and staff at LCCC throughout the year, LCCC President Joe Schaffer said.
“We are excited and pleased to see so many students choosing the path of post-secondary education and look forward to celebrating this momentous graduating class of 2025,” he said. “Commencement offers our faculty, staff and administration the opportunity to extend our best wishes to the graduates as they move forward to positively influence the communities and individuals they encounter.”
The Blue FCU Recreation & Athletics Complex is located on the Cheyenne campus at 1400 E. College Dr. Parking is free. The ceremony will be live-streamed at lccc.wy.edu/grad and recorded for guests who cannot attend in-person. There is limited ADA-accessible seating available; guests requiring this seating can request assistance from staff upon arrival.
A reception for graduates and their guests will be held in the courtyard between the Fine Arts and Prentice/Surbrugg Health Sciences buildings immediately following the ceremony.
