two students holding ceramic bowlsCHEYENNE, Wyoming – A community tradition that combines good food, music and the spirit of giving is set to return as the Empty Bowl fundraiser comes to Laramie County Community College.

The event is scheduled for 5-6:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at Talon’s Table, located in the College Community Center on LCCC’s Cheyenne campus. Proceeds will provide critically needed funds for Volunteers of America Northern Rockies programs in Wyoming. Tickets for the event are available online at voanr.org/empty-bowl-cheyenne and at the door.

Handmade ceramic bowls created for the event by LCCC students, faculty and staff will also be available for purchase.

Guests can enjoy gourmet soups, live music and games for children, all while contributing to efforts to “fill the bowls” of neighbors in need.

“LCCC’s support goes far beyond logistics — it’s a true act of compassion that brings our community together to offer hope,” said Kelly Folsom, VOA Northern Rockies director of development. “Their generosity touches every part of the evening, from the venue and staff to the food and atmosphere.”
