Emeritus
The Board of Trustees of Laramie County Community College believes strongly in recognizing those individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the mission of the College, whether it be in the form of governing, leading, or teaching.
The Board honors distinguished individuals who gave highly meritorious service to the College in recognition of their scholarly and/or professional contributions, and other such considerations, through the designation of emeritus status at LCCC.
Emeritus status is the highest designation LCCC bestows upon an individual who has retired from the College after distinguished service. Emeritus status is awarded in recognition of an individual’s demonstrated, exceptional longevity and/or contributions to the College, exemplifying the highest standards of personal and professional integrity, vision and leadership.
Honorees
Bruce Curl, Administrator Emeritus
Bruce was hired in June of1984 to be the first Personnel Director (Human Resources), and retired in 2007. The Board of Trustees approved his Administrator Emeritus status Nov. 15, 2023.
Kathleen Urban, Faculty Emerita
Kathleen was the first full-time instructor and faculty advisor for the new Legal Assistant/Paralegal program from 1988-1998. She then held various roles at the College including Dean of the Social Sciences Division (1998-2003), Dean of Health Sciences and Agriculture (2003-2004), an adjunct instructor (2004-2010), Interim Dean for Arts and Humanities (2006), Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities (2010-2013), and retired as the Interim Associate Vice President (2013-2014). The Board of Trustees approved her Faculty Emeritus status Nov. 15, 2023.
Ed Mosher, Faculty Emeritus
Ed began his career at LCCC in July of 1977 as a business instructor, and retired in 2009. He also served on the LCCC Board of Trustees from 2010 to 2016. The Board of Trustees approved his Faculty Emeritus status Sept. 21, 2022.
Rosalind Schliske, Faculty Emerita
Rosalind was hired in August of 1976 and was the founder of the Mass Media/Multi Media program and Wingspan Student Media, and also served as the head of Public Relations (PR) for a number of years. She retired in 2015. The Board of Trustees approved her Faculty Emeritus status Oct. 3, 2018.
Jeri Griego, Faculty Emerita
Jeri began her career at LCCC as an adjunct faculty member in 1987, was hired as a full-time faculty member in 1996, and retired in 2017. She has taught a wide range of subjects in the business field including management, accounting, sales, advertising, and business communications. The Board of Trustees approved her Faculty Emeritus status June 29, 2017.
