The Agriculture & Equine Program is designed for students who wish to explore and prepare for a wide range of careers in the fields of agriculture and equine. Students will learn about livestock and horses, facility management and business management.

The Pathway Program is a great option for students who want a broad understanding of this area, those who intend to continue their education at a four-year institution, as well as those who are unsure which Ag & Equine program is best for them. Students can easily transfer into a specific Ag & Equine program after starting here.

What will I learn?

Students will work on general education courses in addition to livestock and horse handling, care, health and feeding. They will learn about business and facility management specific to agriculture and equine. They will apply critical thinking and communication skills to problems faced by the agriculture and equine industries.

Associate of Applied Science

The Pathway Program is a designed for students who want a broad understanding of this area, those who intend to continue their education in a Bachelors of Applied Management program, and those who are unsure which Ag & Equine program is best for them. Students can easily transfer into a specific Ag & Equine program after starting here. Students desiring to transfer to Bachelors of Science degree program upon graduation should consult with their advisor.

Agriculture and Equine Activities

Students have to opportunity to participate in clubs like the livestock show team, livestock judging team, ranch horse team, block and bridle club, intercollegiate horse show association team and rodeo team in addition to industry field trips and internships.

What can I do with this degree?

Some graduates may enter into the workforce while others continue their education at a four-year institution.
